Location of the seminar

Matsushima city

The conference will take place in Matsushima, Japan, a coastal town in Miyagi Prefecture celebrated as one of Japan’s Three Most Scenic Views. Matsushima Bay, dotted with over 260 pine-covered islands, offers breathtaking panoramas that have inspired poets and artists for centuries and can be best enjoyed on a boat cruise or from scenic viewpoints like Saigyo Modoshi-no-matsu Park. Beyond its natural beauty, Matsushima is rich in cultural heritage, featuring historic temples such as Zuiganji, Entsuin, and Godaido Hall, as well as traditional tea houses like Kanrantei overlooking the bay. Visitors can also cross the iconic red bridge to Fukuura Island and savor local specialties such as fresh oysters. This unique setting combines serene scenery, history, and authentic Japanese culture, making it an exceptional venue for scientific exchange and inspiration.
